Thank you for your service. Now let us serve you.

For many veterans the standard options for chronic pain and stress‑related conditions feel limited: medication, physical therapy, perhaps a referral. Acupuncture gives a drug‑free path that works through the body’s own pain‑relief and nervous‑system pathways, and it can run alongside the care you already receive from the VA.

How VA‑covered care works

  1. Ask your VA provider for a Community Care referral for acupuncture. If you are not sure how to phrase it, send us a request and we will walk you through it.
  2. The VA issues an authorization naming AcuMedGroup and the number of visits.
  3. We schedule your first visit. Consultation, examination and treatment on the same day.
  4. Weekly sessions. Progress notes go back to your VA care team, and we request renewals when your authorization runs out.

There is no charge to you for authorized visits; billing goes to the VA.

What veterans come to us for

  • Chronic pain from musculoskeletal injury, arthritis or old service injuries. Acupuncture stimulates endorphin release and settles the nervous system’s pain response.
  • PTSD, stress and anxiety. Regular treatment helps regulate the stress response and quiet the cycle of tension, poor sleep and pain.
  • Sleep. Insomnia and nightmares often ease once stress and pain are addressed together.
  • TBI symptoms such as headache, dizziness and poor concentration, as part of a broader care plan.
  • Fewer side effects. Acupuncture is generally safe and well tolerated compared with long‑term pain medication.

Acupuncture may not be right for every veteran or every condition. Speak with your VA provider, and with us, before starting. It complements physical therapy, counseling and medication rather than replacing them.
